Materials Testing

Destructive mechanical testing in our laboratory at the Neochorouda Industrial Park, Thessaloniki, for procedure and welder qualification.

Overview

Proof, in the lab.

Our laboratory tests weld coupons and materials to the requirements of international standards and project specifications. Results support welding procedure qualification records (WPQR), welder qualification and material acceptance.

Testing is performed under our quality management system, in compliance with ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025 and the requirements of the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.).

Methods

What we offer.

All methods are carried out by personnel certified to EN ISO 9712, on site or at our laboratory in Thessaloniki.

Tensile Testing

Determination of tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of welds and base materials.

Face, root and side bend tests to check the ductility and soundness of welded joints.

Charpy Impact

Impact toughness of weld metal, HAZ and base metal at specified temperatures.

Vickers hardness traverses across weld, HAZ and base metal.

Macro Examination
